Enlisted at Brisbane, 12/06/1916 age 20 years. His address on enlistment Reids Creek, Gayndah. His next of kin (NOK), Mother, Mrs Alice Trusz, Reid’s Creek.
On enlistment he was 5ft 11, weighed 150 lbs and stated his occupation as a Labourer. Unit embarked from Brisbane. On the 04/10/1917 he was wounded and rejoined his unit 18/11/1917. On the 11/06/1918 he was wounded again with gunshot wound to legs. Returned to Australia 09/05/1918.
