Enlisted at Brisbane, 26/09/1916 age 24 years. Son of Charles and Mary Thureson of Gayndah. His address on enlistment Gayndah. His next of kin (NOK), Mother, Mrs Mary Eva Thureson, Gayndah.
On enlistment he was 5ft 8, weighed 145 lbs and stated his occupation as a Stockman. Unit embarked from Brisbane on 27/10/1916. He was wounded 26/09/1917 with a gunshot wound to head and shoulders. Returned to Australia 24/01/1918.
