Enlisted at Brisbane on the 19/02/1916 at age 25 years 6 months. His next of kin (NOK), his Father Mr. Thomas Summers of “Broadway” Lakeside via Gayndah.
On enlistment he was 5 ft 6 inch and weighed 150 lbs and stated his occupation as a Grazier at Coalstoun Lakes the property he owned. He had previous Military experience with 7 years 1st LHR Qld. On the 10/03/1917 he was wounded with gunshot wounds to right buttocks and face.
