STEPHENSEN, Martin Conrad

Enlisted at Brisbane on the 01/11//1915 age 31 years. His next of kin (NOK), Wife, Mrs Gertrude Stephensen, Gayndah. He had 4 children.

 

On enlistment he was 5ft 5 inch, weighed 165 lbs and stated his occupation as a Storekeeper. He served as Mayor of Gayndah Town Council in 1908, 1913 and 1915.

 

On the 23/08/1916 he was wounded with a gunshot wound to hip and right thigh. Information from Anne-Maree McGilvery at the time of enlisting he owned the shop which is now McGilvery Electrical.
