Enlisted at Brisbane 18/01/1916 age 20 years. His address on enlistment was Reid’s Creek Gayndah. His next of kin (NOK), Father, Mr M Roth, Reid’s Creek. On enlistment he was 5ft 9, weighed 138 lbs and stated his occupation as a Labourer. He left Australia for service overseas. He was taken Prisoner of War 1918 being captured at Albert. He returned to Australia and discharged 31/03/1919.
