Enlisted at Brisbane 31/01/1916 age 19 years. His next of kin (NOK), Father, Mr M Richards, Reids Creek, Gayndah. On enlistment he was 5ft 5, weighed 115 lbs and stated his occupation as a Farmer. He left Australia for service overseas. He was wounded 1917. Returned to Australia and discharged 16/04/1919.
