Enlisted at Brisbane 10/01/1916 age 26 years. His next of kin (NOK), Father, Mr Don Rainbow, Tas. On enlistment he was 5ft 7, weighed 135 lbs and stated his occupation as a Farmer. Unit embarked from Sydney on 12/05/1916. He was wounded 1917. He returned to Australia and discharged 1919.
