Enlisted at Maryborough 19/08/1915 age 19 years. His next of kin (NOK), Father, Mr William Korn, Gayndah. On enlistment he was 5ft 6, weighed 136 lbs and stated his occupation as a Plumber.

 

He left Australia for service overseas. On the 14/11/1916 he was wounded with a gunshot wound to right thigh. He returned to Australia and discharged 16 July 1917.
