Enlisted at Maryborough 03/05/1916 age 25 years. His address, Biggenden. His next of kin (NOK), Sister, Miss Dora Kernke, Biggenden. On enlistment he was 5ft 9, weighed 150 lbs and stated his occupation as a Grazier. He left Australia for service overseas. On the 31/05/1917 he was wounded with a slight gunshot wound to the feet. Returned to Australia 06/09/1919.
