Enlisted at Maryborough 12/04/1917 age 38 years. His address, Ideraway, Gayndah. His next of kin (NOK), Wife, Mrs Emma Humrich, Ideraway.

 

On enlistment he was 5ft 8, weighed 136 lbs and stated his occupation as a Labourer. Two years prior to enlisting he was thrown from a horse and dragged causing an injury to his left leg. This injury was aggravated during his time in the service. He returned to Australia and discharged 30/10/1918.
