Enlisted at Brisbane 05/11/1915 age 26 years. His address on enlistment, Gayndah. His next of kin (NOK), Mother, Mrs Alice Forster, NSW. On enlistment he was 5ft 7, weighed 138 lbs and stated his occupation as a Farmer. He left Australia for service overseas.
He was wounded 04/07/1918 with a gunshot wound to thumb severe. On the 24/05/1918 he was wounded again with gas. Was discharged 09/04/1919. Brother of Pte Ralph FORSTER
