Enlisted at Brisbane on the 29/01/1916 age 20 years. His next of kin (NOK), Mother Mrs Julia Sarah Davies, Bonacord Gayndah. Son of Oliver Cromwell Davies and Julia Sarah Davies.
On enlistment he was 5ft 6, weighed 140 lbs and stated his occupation as a Labourer. On 11/11/1916 he was wounded with a gunshot wound to right thigh and was sent to England and re-joined his unit 04/03/1917.
