Enlisted at Brisbane 15/02/1916 age 40 years. His next of kin (NOK), Brother, Mr Henry Cowley, Vic. On enlistment he was 5ft 6 and weighed 140 lbs, stated his occupation as a Miner at Gayndah. In March 1918 he was Gassed and discharged as Medically Unfit.
