Enlisted at Brisbane. He enlisted 05/10/1915 age 21 years. His address, Brisbane. His next of kin (NOK), Mother, Mrs Louise Chalmers, Gayndah. On enlistment he was 5ft 8, weighed 160 lbs and stated his occupation as Engine Driver.
He left Australia for service overseas. On the 30/07/1917 he married Miss Jessie Courtenay in England. He Returned to Australia with his wife and child and discharged 1919.
