Enlisted at Brisbane on the 14/04/1916 age 20 years. Son of Gustave and Frederica Buckholtz. His next of kin (NOK), Mother Mrs. Fredrica Buckholtz of Campbell’s Creek Gayndah.
On enlistment he was 5 ft 7 and weighed 149 Lbs and stated his occupation as a Labourer. On the 04/05/1918 he was wounded in action with a gunshot wound to his right leg and rejoined his unit on the 10/07/1918.
