Enlisted in Maryborough 24/06/1940 age 19 years. His address on enlistment, Gayndah. His next of kin Father, Mr Norman Charles Heitmann. He stated his occupation as Farm Hand.

 

He discharged 14/06/1944. He was an active member of the Gayndah RSL Sub Branch. The following information supplied by Mrs Kerry Shaw. He married Miss Gweneth Thelma Burns on 19/05/1948 and had three children.
