TURNBULL, William Clarence

Enlisted at Brisbane on the 20/01/1916 age 23 years. His next of kin (NOK), Mother Mrs. Lizzie Ryan of Gayndah. On enlistment he was 5ft 8, weighed 142 lbs and stated his occupation as a Labourer.

 

He was reported wounded and missing. After his death a package containing the property of Pte Turnbull personal effects was shipped from England per SS “Barunga” which vessel was lost at sea with all cargo on way to Australia as a result of enemy action. (The same ship as Pte Cleary effects).
