TRANTER, Clarence Joseph Henry

Enlisted at Gayndah, 29/08/1914 age 22 years. His address on enlistment Reids Creek, Gayndah. His next of kin (NOK), Father, F. Tranter, Reids Creek. On enlistment he was 5ft 9, weighed 150 lbs and stated his occupation as a Farmer. Unit embarked from Brisbane on 24/09/1914.

 

On the 23/09/1916 he was awarded the Silver Medal by His Majesty the King of Serbia for Gallantry and devotion to duty in the field, then on the 30/12/1916 he was awarded the Gold Medal by His Majesty the King of Serbia. Returned to Australia 7 January 1919.
