Enlisted, Cairns, 21/01/1916 age 18 years. His address on enlistment Malanda. His next of kin (NOK), Father, Mr W J Sleep, Gooroolba Siding.

 

On enlistment he was 5ft 7, weighed 140 lbs and stated his occupation as a Labourer. He left Australia for service overseas. He was wounded twice. Returned to Australia and discharged 1919.
