Enlisted at Maryborough on the 17/10/1916 age 26 years. His next of kin (NOK), Father Mr Thomas Harris, Gayndah. On enlistment he was 5ft 7, weighed 158 lbs and was a Labourer at Gayndah. On the 09/08/1917 he was wounded severely to his right side. He re-joined his unit on 29/03/1918.
