Enlisted at Maryborough 28/03/1917 age 24 years. His address, Gayndah. His next of kin (NOK), Mother, Mrs Annie Grant, Gayndah. On enlistment he was 5ft 8, weighed 146 lbs and stated his occupation as a Labourer. He was wounded 11/08/1918 with a gunshot wound to the ear and scalp. He returned to Australia and discharged 15/05/1919.
