Enlisted Cairns, 21/01/1916 age 25 years. His address on enlistment Malanda. His next of kin, Father, Mr W J Sleep, Gooroolba Siding. On enlistment he was 5ft 8, weighed 147 lbs and stated his occupation as a Farmer.

 

He left Australia for service overseas. He was wounded 1917 being gassed. Returned to Australia and discharged 25/07/1918.
