Enlisted at Brisbane 18/02/1916 at age 36 years and was a widower with 4 children. His 4 children’s names were Laurs, Caroline, Lilly and Thomas.
His next of kin was Mr George Beck of Gladstone. He was a brother of Alfred Beck and enlisted with him on the same day. On enlistment he was 6ft 1, 156 lbs. On enlistment he was a bush worker for the Gooroolba Graziers Association.
